Overview

Start your engineering career with AtkinsRéalis, one of Canada’s leading nuclear engineering organizations. As a Civil Co-Op Student, you will join the Engineering team and support a variety of nuclear engineering projects while gaining hands-on experience through training, mentoring, and real-world project exposure. Based in Mississauga or Pickering, this opportunity offers valuable insight into technical, engineering interface, and project management activities within a safety-focused and innovative industry.

Duration: We are currently seeking students available for a Winter 2027 co-op placement . Opportunities are available for students seeking 4, 8, 12, or 16-month work terms , with placements beginning in January 2027 .

Your Role

• Support Engineers, Discipline Leads, and Engineering Managers in day-to-day engineering activities and coordination
• Assist in delivering work in accordance with AtkinsRealis Inc. / Candu Energy Quality Assurance Programs and project requirements
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including Document Control, Project Management, and field teams, on assigned task scopes
• Collaborate with members of the civil team to facilitate workflow, document reviews, and Request for Information (RFI) correspondence
• Attend technical and project coordination meetings
• Contribute to engineering and project management activities across various projects
• Promote a positive and collaborative team environment

About You

• Ability to apply engineering principles to practical solutions
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; familiarity with MATLAB, MathCAD, or StaadPro is an asset
• Aptitude for planning, organization, multitasking, and working in a dynamic team environment
• Ability to communicate effectively with strong interpersonal and presentation skills
• Currently enrolled in a Civil Engineering Program with an accredited Canadian University
