How we know

It hasn't been reposted, listed twice, or left up unusually long, and the posting doesn't say it's a talent pool.

Ghostless records the day it first sees a posting, so a repost can't reset its age. This one was already up when Ghostless started tracking Vanderlande, so its true age is longer.

Last checked Nov 4, 2026.

What the posting discloses

Not stated: Pay, real vacancy, AI screening.

Why these three

Ontario requires postings from employers with 25 or more staff to state the pay, whether the vacancy exists, and whether AI screens applicants.

Some employers add pay only on their own site. Check the original posting before you rule it out.

Location : Veghel

Education level : Bachelor / Master

Description of assignment

Are you eager to dive into the intersection of international indirect tax, supply chain operations, and tax technology? At our headquarters in Veghel, Vanderlande is looking for a motivated student to support the automation and documentation of our EMEA Indirect Tax (compliance) positions.

In this hands-on role, you will learn how Vanderlande manages its EMEA indirect tax positions and connected compliance obligations using our Tax Control Framework and the Risk, Control, Monitoring (RiCoMo) matrix. You will support the rollout of the global indirect tax country file program by assessing risks, identifying opportunities, and contributing to transaction mappings per project/compliance country. These country files directly feed into our ERP blueprint and drive compliance automation. Furthermore, you will actively participate in our automation program—utilizing low-code data tools like Alteryx—to reduce manual workload and error sensitivity in our EMEA Shared Service Center.

Department description

You will join Vanderlande’s Group Tax department in Veghel, operating at the center of our global business activities.

Our team works in close collaboration with international finance teams, supply chain managers, legal advisors, and external tax experts across multiple jurisdictions. We offer a young, ambitious, and internationally oriented work environment with professionals experienced in global tax control frameworks. Here, you will actively participate in real-world tax technology projects with high business visibility.

Tasks/responsibilities

  • Support the rollout of the global indirect tax country file program across relevant EMEA project and compliance countries
  • Support the preparation and maintenance of the indirect tax ERP blueprint, including transaction mapping
  • Support the Vanderlande indirect tax compliance automation program to optimize workflows and decrease manual administrative tasks
  • Assist in assessing indirect tax risks and identifying optimization opportunities within the RiCoMo matrix framework

Your profile

  • Strong interest in indirect tax (VAT) and the digital automation of tax compliance processes
  • Advanced working proficiency with Excel and eagerness to learn/apply tax software automation tools
  • Prior experience with data/tax tooling (such as Alteryx) is a plus, but not required
  • Analytical mindset capable of structuring complex transactional information into clear, practical processes
  • Good communication skills in English; proficiency in Dutch is helpful but not required

What we offer

  • A monthly internship allowance (based on a 40-hour work week):

Bachelor: €500 per month

Master: €550 per month

  • Full commuting allowance, including public transport, depending on whether you have access to free public transport or not
  • On-site health center with gym
  • Active employee communities and initiatives
  • Excellent company restaurant and barista coffee bar
