How we know

It hasn't been reposted, listed twice, or left up unusually long, and the posting doesn't say it's a talent pool.

Ghostless records the day it first sees a posting, so a repost can't reset its age. This one was already up when Ghostless started tracking Aikidosecurity, so its true age is longer.

Last checked Nov 3, 2026.

What the posting discloses

Not stated: Pay, real vacancy, AI screening.

Why these three

Ontario requires postings from employers with 25 or more staff to state the pay, whether the vacancy exists, and whether AI screens applicants.

Some employers add pay only on their own site. Check the original posting before you rule it out.

About the role

🌍 We’re making security suck less for developers.

Security tools haven’t kept up with how software is built today. They interrupt teams, slow releases, and turn security into a bottleneck instead of a capability. We built Aikido to change that. Aikido builds developer-first security products that reduce real risk without getting in the way of shipping software. We focus on what actually matters and automate the rest.

We’re taking on legacy security tools teams have been stuck with, and we’re winning. If you want to help us take market share and build products developers actually enjoy using, you’re in the right place.

Founded in 2022 by third-time founders, Aikido has $85M in the bank and a long runway ahead. We’re building toward self-securing software. Join an all-star team. Take real ownership. Push boundaries. Build things that matter.

As our new Backend developer, you'll be part of our Autofix team.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain backend services in TypeScript/Node.js (plus Python, PHP, and others when needed)
  • Manage AWS and Lambda deployments
  • Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines
  • Design scalable, high-availability systems
  • Plan, write, and document new features
  • Handle asynchronous programming and its quirks
  • Optimize code for speed where it matters
  • Explore and integrate AI features
  • Comfortable in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment
  • Able to think along on architectural decisions
  • Willing to learn new languages when needed
  • Comfortable with hard problems and algorithms (e.g. parsing with ASTs)
  • Willing to experiment and throw away code
  • Experience with automated testing and unit tests
  • Some DevOps experience (CI/CD)
  • Curious about AI
  • Fluent in English
  • Able to work from our office in Ghent at least 3 days per week

What you can expect

  • Short decision lines. Big ownership. Shape the projects that matter and ship fast.
  • Grow as fast as we do. Take on more, own more, and carve out your own path.
  • Top-tier tech pay and equity.
  • High trust, strong values, zero corporate BS.
  • Flexibility in working hours.
  • A company that sticks to its values in an open and informal atmosphere.

We hire for talent, drive, and potential. Everything else is noise.
