How we know

It hasn't been reposted, listed twice, or left up unusually long, and the posting doesn't say it's a talent pool.

Ghostless records the day it first sees a posting, so a repost can't reset its age. This one was already up when Ghostless started tracking Abanohealthcare, so its true age is longer.

What the posting discloses

Not stated: Pay, real vacancy, AI screening.

Why these three

Ontario requires postings from employers with 25 or more staff to state the pay, whether the vacancy exists, and whether AI screens applicants.

Some employers add pay only on their own site. Check the original posting before you rule it out.

Job Description

Reporting to our Data Technical Lead, this is a hands-on role for someone who is passionate about automation, AI, and solving real business challenges through technology.

As our Automation & AI Engineer, you'll work closely with business stakeholders to identify opportunities for improvement, design intelligent solutions, and deliver scalable automation initiatives using Microsoft's modern technology stack.

You'll play a key role in building automated workflows, Power Apps, AI-powered assistants, and business solutions that drive efficiency and enhance the employee experience across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, test, and support automated workflows using Microsoft Power Automate and Azure Logic Apps.

  • Build and support AI-powered assistants, agents, and workflows using Microsoft Copilot Studio, Azure AI Services, and related technologies.
  • Integrate Microsoft 365 and business systems using APIs, connectors, and secure integration patterns.
  • Lead solutions through the full lifecycle, from discovery and design through to deployment, support, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure solutions align with enterprise standards for security, privacy, governance, and responsible AI.
  • Create and maintain solution documentation, process maps, user guides, and technical documentation.
  • Engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technology solutions.
  • Stay up to date with emerging automation and AI capabilities and help drive innovation across the organisation.

Qualifications

We're looking for a curious, proactive technology professional who enjoys learning, problem-solving, and turning ideas into practical solutions.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Approximately 2-3 years' experience in automation, low-code development, application development, systems integration, or a similar technical role.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Automate, including designing, building, and troubleshooting cloud flows.
  • Experience developing solutions using Microsoft Power Platform technologies.
  • Understanding of Microsoft 365 integrations, APIs, and connectors.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Experience gathering requirements and translating business needs into technical solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong documentation and solution design capabilities.
  • A passion for automation, emerging technologies, and artificial intelligence.

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Experience with Microsoft Copilot Studio, Azure AI Services, Azure OpenAI, or AI-powered automation solutions.
  • Experience building AI agents, copilots, or intelligent assistants.
  • Knowledge of Governance, Risk, and Compliance considerations within AI environments.
  • Experience with Power Apps development.
  • Experience working with APIs, custom connectors, and systems integration.
  • Exposure to Azure cloud services.
  • Experience within healthcare or another regulated environment.

Additional Information

At Abano Healthcare, you'll have the opportunity to help shape how automation and AI are adopted across one of Australasia's leading healthcare organisations.

You'll join a collaborative and forward-thinking team where innovation is encouraged, new ideas are welcomed, and your work will have a visible impact across the business.

What We Offer

  • Full-time permanent role based in our Auckland Support Office.
  • Hybrid working arrangement with a minimum of three days in the office.
