How we know

It hasn't been reposted, listed twice, or left up unusually long, and the posting doesn't say it's a talent pool.

Ghostless records the day it first sees a posting, so a repost can't reset its age. This one was already up when Ghostless started tracking Echo Neurotechnologies, so its true age is longer.

Last checked Nov 2, 2026.

About the role

Company Overview

Echo Neurotechnologies is an exciting new startup in the Brain-Computer Interface (BCI) space, driving innovation through advanced hardware engineering and AI solutions. Our mission is to deliver cutting-edge technologies that restore autonomy to people living with disabilities and improve their quality of life.

Role Responsibilities

● Full Stack Development: Design, implement, and maintain high-quality software principally in Rust in a desktop environment, and occasionally including server and web interfaces.

● System Architecture & APIs: Design and implement robust APIs, secure data flows, and scalable solutions for real-time and batch time-series data.

● Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with firmware, ML, clinical, and product engineering teams to integrate client and server software seamlessly across the broader device ecosystem.

● Engineering Excellence & Process: Champion best practices across code quality, modular architecture, comprehensive documentation, and automated testing suites.

● Quality & Regulatory Compliance: Author and maintain design documentation, specifications, and verification protocols in alignment with medical software design controls.

Required Quali fi cations

● Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

● 3+ years of production software engineering experience spanning full-stack application development.

● Strong proficiency in Rust or a similar language, with proficiency in Python.

● Demonstrated experience with systems design, data flow architecture, performance-critical code, and API design.

● Clear understanding of software quality practices, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines in production environments.

● Excellent communication skills and comfort driving technical solutions independently in an early-stage hardware/software environment.

Preferred Quali fi cations

● Direct experience developing medical device software under design controls and quality standards (e.g., IEC 62304).

● Hands-on experience building HIPAA-compliant platforms handling sensitive data (PHI / PII).

● Familiarity with biological sensor data, time-series data, or neurophysiological signal processing workflows.

● Experience implementing cybersecurity best practices for connected device ecosystems.

Salary
