How we know

It hasn't been reposted, listed twice, or left up unusually long, and the posting doesn't say it's a talent pool.

Ghostless records the day it first sees a posting, so a repost can't reset its age. This one was already up when Ghostless started tracking Harborcompliance, so its true age is longer.

Last checked Nov 3, 2026.

What the posting discloses

Not stated: Pay, real vacancy, AI screening.

Why these three

Ontario requires postings from employers with 25 or more staff to state the pay, whether the vacancy exists, and whether AI screens applicants.

Some employers add pay only on their own site. Check the original posting before you rule it out.

About the role

🏆 Great Place to Work® Certified | USA

Harbor Compliance is a leading technology platform for entity compliance, helping more than 80,000 businesses and nonprofits manage licensing, tax registration, and legal entity requirements nationwide. Founded in 2012 and recognized repeatedly by the Inc. 5000 and Deloitte Technology Fast 500, we've grown through five strategic acquisitions — and are now backed by a 2026 majority growth investment from Bregal Sagemount to accelerate product, AI, and customer experience. We're a passionate team making compliance simpler and smarter for every organization we serve.

The role

Compliance is one of the last great unautomated problems in business: thousands of jurisdictions, real deadlines, real legal consequences. We have the data, the customers, and the domain expertise to automate it, and we’re building the next generation of our platform to do exactly that.

We’re looking for engineers who move fluidly across languages and stacks, build alongside AI agents every day, and care deeply about getting things right. You’ll design new systems with a lot of room to shape how they’re built, and your work will reach tens of thousands of organizations from day one.

What you’ll do

  • Build our next-generation platform in Go and TypeScript, with modern front ends in Vue, React, or Svelte.
  • Ship AI agents that do real compliance work : gathering information, preparing filings, and bringing in human experts at the right moment, measured by evals you help design.
  • Grow our partner APIs , so other platforms can build compliance into their own products.
  • Shape how we build with AI : the specs, tests, and context that make engineers and agents effective together.
  • Raise the bar for the team through thoughtful code review, mentoring, and sharing what works.

What we’re looking for

  • Production depth in at least two languages (Go, TypeScript, PHP, or similar) and the curiosity to pick up more.
  • Strong front-end fundamentals in a modern component framework.
  • Solid experience with relational databases, API design, and distributed systems.
  • Daily fluency with coding agents such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Codex. You run work in parallel, break it into verifiable pieces, and know when to step in.
  • High standards for AI-assisted work. You review generated code as carefully as a teammate’s, and you own every line you ship.
  • Experience building with LLMs : tool calling, structured output, MCP, and evals, plus good judgment about cost, latency, and security.
  • Clear writing and a taste for simple solutions.

Nice to have: experience in a regulated domain (legal, tax, fintech, govtech), infrastructure as code, or browser automation.

What success looks like

  • 30 days: you’ve shipped to production and know one corner of the compliance domain well.
  • 90 days: you own a meaningful part of the new platform, from spec to production.
  • 6 months: something you built is serving customers at scale, and the team moves faster because of tools or practices you introduced.

How we hire

We interview the way we work, with AI tools welcome : an intro call, a live paired build using your own setup, a conversation about how you approach real-world code, and a design discussion about a short spec you write beforehand. No algorithm puzzles, and no unpaid multi-day take-homes.
