How we know

It hasn't been reposted, listed twice, or left up unusually long, and the posting doesn't say it's a talent pool.

Ghostless records the day it first sees a posting, so a repost can't reset its age. This one was already up when Ghostless started tracking Jmark Careers, so its true age is longer.

Last checked Nov 3, 2026.

Not stated: Pay, real vacancy, AI screening.

JMARK is seeking a Cloud Systems Administrator & Developer I to join our growing AI Operations team. This unique position combines cloud infrastructure administration with hands-on software development, giving you the opportunity to work with Amazon Web Services (AWS), Terraform, Python, and custom AI applications.

You'll help maintain and optimize cloud environments while contributing to the development of innovative applications that support JMARK and our clients.

We're looking for someone who has a solid technical foundation, enjoys tackling challenges, and is excited to grow their skills in cloud technologies, automation, and software development.

You don't have to know everything on day one. We're looking for someone with the right technical aptitude, curiosity, and drive to learn.

What You'll Be Doing

Cloud Administration & Infrastructure

  • Assist with provisioning, configuring, monitoring, and maintaining AWS cloud resources, including compute, storage, networking, and identity services.
  • Work with Terraform to manage cloud infrastructure through Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Monitor cloud environments, troubleshoot performance issues, and respond to alerts.
  • Assist with cloud security, access management, patching, backups, and recovery processes.
  • Help maintain reliable, secure, and efficient cloud environments.
  • Document cloud configurations, processes, and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Collaborate with senior team members to implement infrastructure improvements and resolve technical challenges.

Software Development & AI Applications

  • Develop, test, and deploy new features, enhancements, and bug fixes for JMARK's custom AI application.
  • Write clean, maintainable Python code following established development standards.
  • Build and integrate APIs to connect applications, services, and systems.
  • Participate in code reviews and collaborate with other developers to improve application functionality.
  • Troubleshoot application issues and assist with testing and debugging.
  • Utilize Git for version control and follow established development and deployment processes.
  • Explore opportunities to use automation to improve efficiency and streamline operations.

Security, Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

  • Follow established cybersecurity best practices, secure coding standards, and change management processes.
  • Assist with monitoring and responding to cloud security alerts.
  • Work closely with the AI Operations team to support projects and operational priorities.
  • Participate in training, knowledge sharing, and professional development opportunities.
  • Stay curious about emerging cloud, DevOps, cybersecurity, and AI technologies.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who enjoys both infrastructure and development and wants to continue building expertise in these areas.

Technical Skills & Experience

  • Working knowledge of AWS services such as EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, and CloudWatch.
  • Foundational understanding of Terraform or Infrastructure as Code concepts.
  • Python programming experience, including the ability to write, troubleshoot, and maintain code.
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs and application integrations.
  • Basic understanding of Linux and/or Windows administration.
  • Knowledge of networking fundamentals, including DNS, TCP/IP, VPNs, and firewalls.
  • Experience with Git or similar version control tools.
  • Familiarity with SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
  • Basic understanding of cloud security, access management, monitoring, and logging.
  • Understanding of software development practices, testing, and troubleshooting.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; relevant technical training or certifications; or equivalent professional experience.
  • Typically 1–2 years of experience in cloud administration, software development, or a combination of both. Internships, apprenticeships, and demonstrated technical competency will also be considered.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to learn new technologies quickly.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork skills.

What Would Set You Apart?

While not required, experience in any of the following areas would be a plus

  • AWS certifications or hands-on AWS cloud infrastructure experience.
  • HashiCorp Terraform certification or practical Terraform experience.
  • Experience developing applications or automation solutions using Python.
  • Exposure to AI, machine learning, or AI-powered application development.
  • Familiarity with JavaScript, TypeScript, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Experience working with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, or automated deployments.
  • Experience with secure software development practices, including OWASP guidelines.
  • Previous experience working for a Managed Services Provider (MSP).

What Makes Someone Successful in This Role?

At JMARK, technical ability matters, but how you approach your work and interact with others is just as important.

The ideal candidate will

  • Be naturally curious and excited to learn new technologies.
  • Enjoy solving problems and figuring out how things work.
  • Take ownership of assigned tasks and follow through on commitments.
  • Be comfortable asking questions, receiving feedback, and learning from experienced team members.
  • Pay attention to details and understand the importance of security, accuracy, and documentation.
