How we know

It hasn't been reposted, listed twice, or left up unusually long, and the posting doesn't say it's a talent pool.

Ghostless records the day it first sees a posting, so a repost can't reset its age. This one was already up when Ghostless started tracking X, bigly labs, so its true age is longer.

Last checked Nov 4, 2026.

What it asks of you

Bachelor's degree asked for
“Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.” (quoted from the posting)
Equivalent experience accepted instead of a degree
“Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.” (quoted from the posting)

What the posting discloses

Not stated: Pay, real vacancy, AI screening.

Why these three

Ontario requires postings from employers with 25 or more staff to state the pay, whether the vacancy exists, and whether AI screens applicants.

Some employers add pay only on their own site. Check the original posting before you rule it out.

About the role

We are X, bigly labs, Dis-Chem’s high-performance innovation hub; a place where bold ideas meet data, design, and radical customer focus to reimagine what healthcare can be.

Our mission is to power the future of healthcare by lowering costs, unlocking new possibilities, and improving access to healthcare for all South Africans. We do this through cutting-edge digital solutions that deliver smarter, more human, and truly patient-focused experiences. Here, your work is not limited to a whiteboard; it becomes real. It drives decisions, shapes experiences, and moves healthcare forward. We are driven by one big question: How do we use data and today’s technology to build breakthroughs to better health?

There’s only one question left: are you ready to make healthcare smarter, and actually mean it?

The Senior Data Analyst leads the analyses behind the business's hardest questions and owns the health of the reporting estate. The role applies statistics and effect measurement to high-stakes decisions, sets the chapter's analytical and visual standards, leads the rationalisation of the Power BI and Grafana estate, and mentors junior and intermediate analysts.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR?

Minimum

  • Able to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment and the ability to translate vague requests into definable value.
  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 or more years in data analysis or business analytics, with decisions changed by your work.
  • Expert SQL on large datasets.
  • Data modelling literacy: reads and navigates star schemas and gold models.
  • Dashboard craft in Databricks AI/BI dashboards or an equivalent modern BI tool, plus deep Power BI for the legacy estate: semantic models with storage modes, relationships and security passthrough, no business logic in the tool, and report lifecycle governance.
  • Observability tracking, event logging, and sessionised data experience, preferably with Grafana.
  • A track record of presenting to and influencing senior stakeholders.

Advantageous

  • Python or R for deeper statistical work.
  • Experimentation platforms and causal-inference methods.
  • Google ecosystem experience.
  • Knowledge of data pipelines and medallion architecture in Databricks.
  • Retail data, ideally pharmacy retail. Healthcare or financial services also count.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING?

  • Design and run the analyses behind high-stakes decisions, using sound statistical method, driving business impact.
  • Lead the framing of ambiguous business problems into testable questions with senior stakeholders so that analysis effort lands where value is.
  • Set and maintain analytical and visual standards, covering methods, documentation, certified sources, semantic-model and lifecycle rules, so that quality does not depend on individuals.
  • Lead usage-based rationalisation across Power BI, Grafana, and the mapping of legacy SAP BW reports to gold replacements, so that the estate shrinks to what is used.
  • Mentor junior and intermediate analysts through review and pairing, and coach business users in guarded self-service, so that capability grows.

WHO YOU ARE?

  • Deep business context behind the hardest questions and the gold-layer contract.
  • Structures ambiguous questions into testable analysis.
  • Frames findings in terms of the decision and the value at stake.
  • Runs multiple analyses in parallel, unblocks others and manages stakeholder expectations.
  • Explains findings to technical and business audiences.

Our values show up in how we think, build, and make choices that make an impact. We are building a culture that drives progress; one that fixes friction, chases what changes, and owns the outcome. We design with tomorrow in mind, ask sharper questions, and answer them with care, urgency, and systems that scale.

Think you’ve got energy, curiosity, and guts? Come hold the space, make it matter, and own a breakthrough.
