How we know

It hasn't been reposted, listed twice, or left up unusually long, and the posting doesn't say it's a talent pool.

Ghostless records the day it first sees a posting, so a repost can't reset its age. This one was already up when Ghostless started tracking Span.app, so its true age is longer.

Last checked Nov 2, 2026.

About the role

About Span

Span exists to help engineering organizations turn AI adoption into real effectiveness. As AI tools reshape how software gets built, the companies that continuously improve how their teams use AI in their day-to-day will pull ahead. We're the AI-native developer intelligence platform built for that moment. We're looking for people who want to shape how the next generation of high-performing engineering orgs operate.

We're a Series A company with a small, focused team that moves fast and ships things that matter. We’re proud to be helping forward-thinking orgs like Ramp, Carvana, Intercom, and OpenTable. We're honored to be backed by dozens of founders, CTOs, and CPOs we admire from Slack, Notion, Rippling, Fivetran, Coda, Adobe, and Square, as well as funds including Alt Capital, BoxGroup, Bling, Craft, and SV Angel.

About the role

Deployed Engineers at Span lead complex implementations with our customers where the stakes are high and the path forward isn't always clear. You will embed with engineering leaders at top-tier organizations to understand their unique challenges, map their workflows, and deliver solutions that create measurable impact on their developer productivity and organizational clarity.

You will work at the intersection of product, engineering, and customer success - building full-stack solutions, shaping integrations, and ensuring our platform creates real value in production environments.

You will be the voice of the customer internally, translating field learnings into product improvements and reusable patterns that benefit our entire customer base.

Success in this role means owning customer outcomes from first conversation to stable production adoption. You will balance speed with quality, technical depth with strategic thinking, and hands-on building with cross-functional leadership.

In This Role You'll

  • Own technical delivery across multiple customer deployments from initial prototype to production scale, embedding with customer teams to understand their workflows and build full-stack solutions that solve their specific problems.
  • Scope work, make pragmatic trade-offs between speed and quality, and write production-grade code across our TypeScript, Python, and data pipeline stack when delivery depends on it.
  • Translate customer feedback into product requirements and create reusable patterns that help the team scale, influencing roadmap priorities based on real-world deployment learnings.

You might thrive in this role if you

  • Bring 3+ years of engineering experience building full-stack products or complex integrations in fast-moving environments, with production-quality code in TypeScript/JavaScript and Python.
  • Have worked with data pipelines, ETL processes, and have integrated Large Language Models into products or workflows.
  • Thrive in ambiguous situations, communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and demonstrate ownership over customer outcomes with strong follow-through.
  • Have outstanding communication skills in English, both written and verbal, enabling you to collaborate effectively with US-based customers and internal teams.
