How we know

It hasn't been reposted, listed twice, or left up unusually long, and the posting doesn't say it's a talent pool.

Ghostless records the day it first sees a posting, so a repost can't reset its age. This one was already up when Ghostless started tracking Factory, so its true age is longer.

Last checked Nov 2, 2026.

What the posting discloses

Not stated: Pay, real vacancy, AI screening.

Why these three

Ontario requires postings from employers with 25 or more staff to state the pay, whether the vacancy exists, and whether AI screens applicants.

Some employers add pay only on their own site. Check the original posting before you rule it out.

About the role

About Factory

Our mission is to create a world where software builds and improves itself.

We build the platform for self-improving software development, helping the world's largest enterprise engineering teams turn their organizations into autonomous software factories. Customers including Nvidia, Blackstone, Royal Bank of Canada (RBC), Palo Alto Networks, Adobe, and T-Mobile run Factory to ship code, review PRs, run tests, and deploy continuously - getting smarter with every cycle.

In 2026, we raised $200M at a $5B valuation, bringing our total funding to over $400M. We are backed by world-class investors and operators including Khosla Ventures, Sequoia, Blackstone, Ali Ghodsi (CEO of Databricks), and Frank Slootman (Former CEO of Snowflake).

About the Role

Factory is looking for Forward Deployed Engineers to help enterprise engineering teams put AI to work across the software development lifecycle. You'll lead customer implementations, solve engineering problems in complex codebases, and deliver projects ranging from developer-workflow improvements to large-scale migrations and modernization.

Working directly with customer engineers and leaders, you'll own technical delivery from discovery through production. You'll partner with Factory's Engineering, Product, and go-to-market teams to turn lessons from each deployment into better tooling, repeatable implementation playbooks, and product improvements.

What You'll Do

  • Lead end-to-end implementations of Factory in customer engineering environments, designing integrations and workflows that fit how their teams build and ship software.
  • Serve as the technical lead on customer engagements, working directly with customer teams to solve engineering problems and deliver results.
  • Deliver migrations, modernization, and refactoring projects in complex production systems, taking ownership of the technical outcome.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues in unfamiliar codebases, integrate with new systems, and adapt implementations to customer needs.
  • Build tooling and documentation that help customers adopt Factory and maintain successful deployments.
  • Bring customer insights and emerging software development practices back to Factory's Product and Engineering teams.
  • Spend time on-site with customers, typically about once a month and mostly within your region.

Qualifications

  • 4–10 years of software engineering experience, ideally building or deploying complex technical products in enterprise or customer-facing environments.
  • The ability to work across unfamiliar codebases, languages, and systems and quickly identify a practical path to a solution.
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills, including diagnosing and resolving issues in production systems.
  • Clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders, with a track record of building trust with customer teams.
  • End-to-end ownership: you follow through from identifying a customer problem to delivering and validating the solution.
  • Curiosity, sound judgment, and comfort working in a fast-moving environment with evolving requirements.
  • Deep knowledge of an industry such as financial services or healthcare is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with agent harnesses, model post-training and evaluations, migrations (for ERPs, data, cloud, or legacy code), security, iOS or Android development, on-premises deployments, or federal and public-sector deployments is a plus. We welcome both specialists and engineering generalists.

This is an in-office role, five days per week, based in San Francisco, New York, London, Washington, DC, Australia, or Singapore.
