How we know

It hasn't been reposted, listed twice, or left up unusually long, and the posting doesn't say it's a talent pool.

Ghostless records the day it first sees a posting, so a repost can't reset its age. This one was already up when Ghostless started tracking Firetrol, so its true age is longer.

Last checked Nov 1, 2026.

About the role

Firetrol Protection Systems is seeking a Program Operations & Engineering Manager to lead the technical and operational execution of the MXOne program. This position serves as the primary coordination point between Firetrol, engineering and manufacturing partners, suppliers, customers, and field personnel, with responsibility for projects from engineering and production through testing, delivery, commissioning, training, and ongoing support.

The ideal candidate combines a strong technical foundation with hands-on experience in project execution, systems integration, manufacturing, commissioning, or technical operations. This is a cross-functional leadership role requiring ownership of complex projects across multiple organizations

Key Responsibilities

· Lead project execution from order acceptance through engineering, production, delivery, commissioning, and customer acceptance.

· Coordinate cross-functional activities between Firetrol, engineering/manufacturing partners, suppliers, customers, and field teams to maintain schedules, priorities, deliverables, and commitments.

· Oversee engineering and systems integration, including mechanical, electrical, controls, communications, technical drawings, equipment configurations, and application requirements.

· Manage quality, testing, and commissioning, including QA/QC procedures, factory and field testing, site readiness, functional safety, acceptance documentation, and resolution of technical or field issues.

· Coordinate production, supply chain, and logistics, including purchasing, equipment readiness, inspections, shipping, mobilization, and critical components.

· Establish and maintain technical standards and documentation, including configuration/change control, installation and service procedures, maintenance requirements, training programs, and document revision control.

· Support program growth and continuous improvement by assisting sales with technical scope development, managing project risks, coordinating warranty/service support, and incorporating lessons learned into standardized processes.

What Success Looks Like

Success in this position means on-time project execution, successful testing and commissioning, reduced field rework, accurate technical documentation, timely issue resolution, and continuous improvement across each deployment. The successful candidate will be a hands-on technical leader who can bridge engineering and operations and take ownership of complex projects from production through successful field deployment.

Requirements

· Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Construction Management, Operations Management, or a related technical discipline preferred; equivalent relevant experience will be considered.

· 7+ years of relevant experience in engineering, systems integration, industrial equipment, manufacturing, fire protection, commissioning, technical project management, or related technical operations.

· Demonstrated ability to manage multidisciplinary technical projects and coordinate manufacturers, engineers, suppliers, contractors, customers, and field personnel.

· Ability to read and understand mechanical, electrical, controls, and system drawings, with working knowledge of QA/QC, testing, commissioning, change control, and technical documentation.

· Strong project management, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to take ownership of complex issues and drive them to resolution.

· Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.

Preferred experience

Experience with fire protection or special-hazard systems, industrial equipment, critical equipment, controls and automation, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), field commissioning, international manufacturers and

supply chains, and FM/UL/NFPA requirements is preferred. PMP, PE, NICET, or similar technical/project credentials are a plus.

Benefits

Firetrol offers competitive wages and top-of-the-line benefits that include health, dental vision, life insurance, short and long term disability, generous paid time off practice and a 401(k) plan with a generous company match and immediate vesting. Additionally, sponsors training and education opportunities. Finally, Firetrol offers career growth opportunities, not just a job.
