How we know

It hasn't been reposted, listed twice, or left up unusually long, and the posting doesn't say it's a talent pool.

Ghostless records the day it first sees a posting, so a repost can't reset its age. This one was already up when Ghostless started tracking Joinbeam, so its true age is longer.

Last checked Nov 4, 2026.

What the posting discloses

Not stated: Pay, real vacancy, AI screening.

Why these three

Ontario requires postings from employers with 25 or more staff to state the pay, whether the vacancy exists, and whether AI screens applicants.

Some employers add pay only on their own site. Check the original posting before you rule it out.

About the role

About Beam

Beam AI builds self-learning AI agents and an operating system where intelligence grows through autonomous discovery. We transform enterprises from AI-curious to AI-native organizations with automation that delivers results today and learns to improve itself over time.

Join us in shaping a future where AI continuously discovers, adapts, and makes work more meaningful.

About the Role

As a Forward Deployment Engineer , you’ll work directly with enterprise customers to turn complex business processes into reliable, AI-powered automations.

You’ll own deployments from initial discovery through production. That means understanding how a customer operates, breaking down complex workflows, designing and configuring AI agents, engineering prompts, coordinating integrations, and iterating on systems once they are live.

This is a deeply hands-on role. You’ll spend your time moving between customer conversations, workflow design, prompt engineering, technical implementation, debugging, and collaboration with product and engineering. You’ll need to be comfortable getting into the details, and figuring out how to make AI systems work reliably in real-world environments.

What You’ll Do

  • Own AI deployments end-to-end , from understanding customer requirements and mapping workflows through solution design, implementation, testing, and production deployment.
  • Work directly with customers to understand their business processes, identify high-value automation opportunities, and translate those problems into practical AI agent solutions.
  • Design and build agentic workflows using Beam’s Agent OS, including workflow decomposition, agent configuration, prompt engineering, testing, and optimization.
  • Build and manage integrations with customer systems, working with APIs and client-side technical teams to connect agents into existing workflows.
  • Manage delivery across multiple stakeholders , keeping projects on track while communicating clearly with both technical teams and executive stakeholders.
  • Partner closely with product, engineering, and ML teams to surface platform gaps, scope improvements, and turn customer needs into product capabilities.
  • Bring customer insights back to Beam , using real deployment experience to improve our platform, workflows, and best practices.
  • Act as a technical partner to customers , helping them understand where AI agents can create leverage and advising them on effective approaches to automation.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years in a client-facing technical role such as Forward Deployed Engineer, Implementation Consultant, Deployment Engineer, Customer Engineer, or similar
  • Strong project management and communication skills. You can run delivery timelines, manage client expectations, and explain technical concepts clearly to both engineers and executives
  • Demonstrated prompt engineering expertise. You've systematically written, tested, and optimized prompts in production or near-production settings
  • Solid API knowledge and integration experience. You're comfortable scoping and coordinating API-based integrations with external systems
  • Analytical, process-driven thinking. You can take a messy business workflow, break it into structured components, and design an automation approach

Nice to Have

  • Background in AI/ML or hands-on experience applying AI to business workflows.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment.

How We Hire

Our process includes a case study where you’ll work through a realistic automation challenge. You’ll be asked to think through a business workflow, design an extraction or agent prompt, build a project plan, and present your approach.

Benefits

At Beam, we're building an environment where ambitious people can do their best work, with clarity, purpose, and room to grow. We're thoughtful about what we build, how we work, and who we hire. The problems we're solving are real. The systems we're building are complex. And the people here care deeply—about craft, about speed, and about doing work that actually matters.

We offer competitive compensation and benefits, equity, flexible working arrangements, work-from-anywhere, parental leave, and the opportunity to grow with a team that values high standards, meaningful work, and learning by doing.

You won't find rigid hierarchies or endless process here. You'll find high trust, high standards, and a team driven by curiosity, ownership, and long-term thinking.

What you can expect from us

Our culture is shaped by our values in action

  • We think in agentic workflows, uses AI tools daily, and looks for leverage through automation.
  • We ship fast, learn faster, and favour experimentation over perfection.
  • We invest in high-impact work and value ownership.
  • We align on outcomes while giving people autonomy.
  • We seek clarity, welcome feedback, and continuously improve.

If this is the kind of work you want to do and the kind of team you want to build with, we'd love to hear from you.

Using AI in the Application Process: We encourage candidates to use AI thoughtfully throughout the application process. AI can support research and preparation, but we want to understand your own thinking, experience, and perspective.

If this is the kind of work you want to do and the kind of team you want to build with, we'd love to hear from you.
