How we know

It hasn't been reposted, listed twice, or left up unusually long, and the posting doesn't say it's a talent pool.

Ghostless records the day it first sees a posting, so a repost can't reset its age.

Last checked Nov 4, 2026.

What the posting discloses

Not stated: Pay, real vacancy, AI screening.

Why these three

Ontario requires postings from employers with 25 or more staff to state the pay, whether the vacancy exists, and whether AI screens applicants.

Some employers add pay only on their own site. Check the original posting before you rule it out.

Job Description

Your mission

Working closely with our Data Solutions Hub and Research teams, you will design and enhance tools used for a wide range of sensory and consumer analyses. You will combine data science, visualization and user-centred development to create solutions that are both analytically sound and enjoyable to use.

  • Develop and enhance R Shiny applications for sensory and consumer data analysis.
  • Create engaging, interactive visualizations that make complex results easier to explore and understand.
  • Automate recurring statistical analyses, tables, charts and standardized exports.
  • Design intuitive workflows and interfaces for different internal user needs.
  • Improve the usability, robustness, performance and scalability of analytical applications.
  • Explore how AI and language models can support analytics, interpretation, documentation and user interaction.
  • Test and validate analytical outputs to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Document solutions clearly and support their adoption within international teams.

What you will experience

This internship places you at the intersection of data science, sensory and consumer research, and digital product development. You will work with real research questions and contribute to tools designed for everyday use across an international organization.

  • Hands-on development with R, R Shiny and modern visualization packages.
  • Applied statistical analysis of sensory and consumer data.
  • User-oriented application design, testing and deployment.
  • Practical use of AI and language models in analytical workflows.
  • Collaboration with international research and data teams.

Qualifications

You are completing a Master’s degree or equivalent in Data Science, Applied Statistics, Computer Science, Sensory and Consumer Research, or another quantitative field. You enjoy turning analytical challenges into clear, reliable and user-friendly solutions.

  • Good knowledge of R and data manipulation.
  • Experience with, or a strong interest in, R Shiny and interactive data visualization.
  • A solid understanding of statistics and analytical validation.
  • Strong interest in AI and language models, ideally with practical experience using them for coding, analysis, knowledge retrieval or workflow automation.
  • Curiosity, structured problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • A user-centred mindset and the ability to translate needs into practical technical solutions.
  • Good working knowledge of English.

Knowledge of Python, Git or application deployment would be an advantage.

Additional Information

Why join us?

Taste, texture, aroma and consumer perception create fascinating data challenges. You will help develop digital products that allow our teams to explore these dimensions and understand what makes products distinctive, appealing and relevant.

Your work will go beyond a theoretical prototype. You will contribute to practical applications used in day-to-day research, with room to test ideas, take ownership and see your developments make a real difference. You will join an international environment where data, research and technology come together, while human expertise and scientific rigour remain central.
