How we know

It hasn't been reposted, listed twice, or left up unusually long, and the posting doesn't say it's a talent pool.

Ghostless records the day it first sees a posting, so a repost can't reset its age.

Last checked Nov 4, 2026.

What it asks of you

Bachelor's degree asked for
“A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field is preferred.” (quoted from the posting)

What the posting discloses

Not stated: Pay, real vacancy, AI screening.

Why these three

Ontario requires postings from employers with 25 or more staff to state the pay, whether the vacancy exists, and whether AI screens applicants.

Some employers add pay only on their own site. Check the original posting before you rule it out.

Role Purpose

WPP is undergoing an exciting global transformation, and we are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Automation Quality Analyst specialising in Playwright to join our quality assurance team. As an Automation QA Analyst, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products by designing and maintaining automated test coverage, executing test plans, identifying defects, and collaborating with development teams to resolve issues. You will help sustain the reliability of our platform under a trunk-based, continuously delivered way of working. Your work will help us deliver exceptional user experiences and maintain high standards of product excellence. We encourage applications from a diverse range of backgrounds and experiences.

Key Responsibilities

As an Automation Quality Analyst, you will

  • Analyse business requirements and translate them into robust, maintainable test cases and automation coverage.
  • Develop, document and execute detailed test plans and test cases.
  • Design and automate end-to-end tests using Playwright with JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • Implement and maintain test automation frameworks.
  • Execute automated and manual test cases, and perform both formal and exploratory testing.
  • Conduct regression testing to verify that resolved issues do not affect existing functionality.
  • Identify, document and track defects using bug tracking tools, providing clear and concise descriptions of issues.
  • Review test cases and automated tests written by other QA engineers.
  • Embed automated tests within the CI/CD pipeline, keeping merge-gate and nightly regression suites reliable.
  • Investigate and address test flakiness to maintain confidence in automated results.
  • Participate in design and requirement reviews, providing input on testability and quality risks.
  • Collaborate with developers to identify the root cause of issues.
  • Work with the DevOps and SRE teams to ensure test environments and test data are stable and available.
  • Lead testing activities during sprint and release cycles.
  • Communicate complex issues clearly to both business and technical teams, and report test results to stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes and methodologies.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practice in software testing and test automation.

Skill Requirements

We understand that candidates may not have every single skill listed below. We encourage you to apply if you possess a strong foundation in automation QA and a willingness to learn and grow.

  • 3–5 years' proven experience as a QA engineer or in a similar role, including hands-on test automation.
  • Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, tools and processes, and of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Experience testing complex web applications.
  • Hands-on knowledge of Playwright with JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • Experience implementing and maintaining test automation frameworks.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD tooling, such as GitHub Actions or GitLab CI.

  • Experience with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g. Jira, TestRail).
  • Ability to lead testing activities during sprint and release.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, detail-oriented with a keen eye for identifying issues and inconsistencies.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field is preferred.

Desirable experience

  • Experience working in a trunk-based development and continuous delivery environment.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted development and testing tooling.
  • Familiarity with basic SQL queries for database validation.
  • Exposure to performance testing concepts.
  • Experience stabilising large end-to-end regression suites and reducing automation debt.
