How we know

It hasn't been reposted, listed twice, or left up unusually long, and the posting doesn't say it's a talent pool.

Ghostless records the day it first sees a posting, so a repost can't reset its age.

Last checked Nov 4, 2026.

What the posting discloses

Not stated: Pay, real vacancy, AI screening.

Why these three

Ontario requires postings from employers with 25 or more staff to state the pay, whether the vacancy exists, and whether AI screens applicants.

Some employers add pay only on their own site. Check the original posting before you rule it out.

About the role

1KOMMA5°

At 1KOMMA5° , we pursue a clear vision: Living on wind and sunlight forever for free . To make this a reality, we are building the energy system of the future with Heartbeat AI. Want to be part of it?Â

We bring together regional craftsmanship and scalable software: We don't think of solar, batteries, heat pumps, and e-mobility as isolated components, but control them as an intelligent, integrated overall system in our virtual power plant. Directly connected to the electricity market – in real time, fully automated. This way, energy is used when it is available from renewables and particularly cost-effective.Â

By 2030, our goal is to transition 1.5 million households to renewable energies. Over 3,000 people are working towards this every day, at more than 80 locations worldwide, from Finland to Australia. Want to take responsibility and build solutions that truly matter? Apply now and help us shape the energy world of tomorrow .

Your mission

  • Full-Stack Development (Edge to Cloud):  You develop the core components for our energy management system Heartbeat AI Enterprise  – both locally on our IoT gateways (Edge) and scalably in our cloud-native backend architecture
  • Gateway Programming (Go & Lua):  You write high-performance code for our edge controllers. With Golang , you build robust system services and communication layers; with Lua , you create lightweight, dynamically adaptable control scripts and protocol drivers for inverters, BESS, and HVAC systems
  • Cloud Services & Microservices: Â You design and program scalable microservices in Go within the cloud backend to process time-series data, telemetry, and manage fleet operations across hundreds of customer sites
  • Interfaces & Protocols: Â You implement communication protocols for the IoT ecosystem (MQTT, REST/gRPC) as well as for local equipment communication (Modbus TCP/RTU)
  • VPP & Trading Integration: Â You enable seamless data flow between local systems (meter readings, flexibilities) and our Virtual Power Plant for automated control based on spot market prices
  • Agile Collaboration: Â You work closely in a cross-functional team with system architects, PLC developers, and product management to swiftly bring new commercial energy management features to the platform

Your profile

  • A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a comparable qualification, or sound professional experience in professional software development
  • Strong programming skills in Golang (Go)  (ideally in a cloud and microservices context) as well as practical experience in the Lua  scripting language (e.g., for embedded / edge applications)
  • Solid understanding of cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, or Azure), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience in developing IoT solutions or edge computing applications, preferably on Linux-based systems (e.g., Raspberry Pi, industrial PCs)
  • Confident handling of common network and IoT protocols (such as MQTT, REST) and ideally experience with industrial communication (Modbus)
  • A structured, solution-oriented mindset and the motivation to actively contribute to building Europe's largest decentralized Virtual Power Plant
  • Business-fluent German and English skills, both written and spoken

Benefits

  • You are part of an international, dynamic, and highly motivated team of people who have proven to make things happen
  • With your work, you accelerate the "energy transition" and hence have a direct impact on our climate
  • Work with and learn from other super-smart colleagues
  • You will enjoy direct contact with core decision-makers
  • You will enjoy the best chances of entering full-time in one of Europe’s most thriving scaleups
  • You work remotely (Germany-wide), with offices in Hamburg, Berlin or Munich
  • Create a healthy balance alongside your work and enjoy all the benefits of the EGYM Wellpass
  • Benefits and discounts are yours with Futurebens
  • Whether city bike or e-bike - be flexible with our job bike leasing and do something good for the environment at the same time
