How we know

It hasn't been reposted, listed twice, or left up unusually long, and the posting doesn't say it's a talent pool.

Ghostless records the day it first sees a posting, so a repost can't reset its age.

Last checked Nov 4, 2026.

What the posting discloses

Not stated: Pay, real vacancy, AI screening.

Why these three

Ontario requires postings from employers with 25 or more staff to state the pay, whether the vacancy exists, and whether AI screens applicants.

Some employers add pay only on their own site. Check the original posting before you rule it out.

About the role

Who we are

About Stripe

Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies—from the world’s largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups—use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone’s reach while doing the most important work of your career.

About the team

Web Presence and Platform (WPP) designs, builds, and operates Stripe’s public web presence, including stripe.com and other sites that may be the first impression of Stripe for many. We create industry-leading experiences that help customers understand the power of Stripe’s platform, share Stripe’s ideas and expertise, and drive adoption. We also build the systems and operational foundations behind those experiences, making our websites fast, stable, and easy to evolve.

Our work brings together design craft, engineering, operations, and business strategy. We want to make every pixel count, create experiences that are both useful and compelling, and help other Stripes benefit from the systems and capabilities we build.

What you’ll do

WPP’s Design Systems pod builds and stewards Helm, the shared design system behind stripe.com. We create the components, patterns, tools, and guidance that help WPP teams deliver expressive, consistent, and high-quality web experiences at scale. We work across design and engineering to keep design intent, production code, and real-world usage aligned as the system evolves.

As an engineer on the Design Systems pod, you will turn Stripe’s visual direction into reusable, production-ready capabilities. You’ll shape components from early design through implementation, testing, documentation, adoption, and ongoing iteration. You’ll combine strong design judgment with frontend expertise to ensure Helm works across responsive layouts, interaction states, accessibility needs, performance constraints, content models, and locales. You’ll also partner with teams building on Helm, helping them use the system effectively, identify reusable patterns, and contribute improvements back to it.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build polished, accessible, and performant React components and patterns that express Stripe’s visual language across stripe.com
  • Partner closely with designers and engineers to shape component behavior, APIs, responsive states, interaction details, and design-token architecture
  • Maintain a high bar for design–code parity and component quality through documentation, accessibility and visual-regression testing, production validation, and in-context review
  • Help workstream teams decide when to compose existing capabilities, extend the system, or keep an implementation local, and lead the upstreaming of broadly reusable work
  • Improve how designers, engineers, content authors, and agents discover, understand, and adopt Helm through clear guidance, examples, tooling, and responsive collaboration

Who you are

We’re looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.

Minimum requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant frontend or design engineering experience building production web experiences or the shared systems and tooling behind them
  • Experience building and maintaining a production design system or shared component library, including evolving it through real-world use
  • Proficiency with React, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS, with experience taking interactive, responsive work from design through production
  • Experience using AI-assisted development tools as a regular part of software engineering work, with sound judgment about validating their output and maintaining code, product, and security quality
  • Experience designing flexible component APIs, primitives, tokens, and composition models that give skilled practitioners meaningful control while preserving accessibility and maintainability
  • Strong visual and interaction-design judgment, along with the communication skills to collaborate with experienced designers and engineers on ambiguous system-level tradeoffs

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience building expressive, brand-forward web experiences where consistency must coexist with differentiated art direction
  • Familiarity with CMS-driven experiences, structured content, localization, or other constraints involved in supporting a large global website
  • Experience with tools and practices that connect design and code, such as Figma libraries, design tokens, Code Connect, component documentation, or visual-regression testing
  • Experience migrating consumers between design systems or evolving shared components while maintaining compatibility across existing production surfaces
