Migration Execution Intern

Leidos, a leading defense, intelligence, and technology company, is seeking motivated and aspiring technology students for our Summer 2027 Internship Program (Starts May 2027). As a Migration Execution Intern , you will join our Digital Sector supporting the Migration Execution team on the Defense Enclave Services (DES) contract. This position is 100% remote (with a primary focus on U.S. Eastern time zones), offering a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience understanding network and endpoint migration best practices during DODNet discovery, planning and design, and migration execution, and contributing to real-world engineering challenges within a massive, $600M+ global defense organization.

Are you passionate about Information Technology, Computer Science, and Project Management? As an intern on the MES team, you will support the team through multiple network and endpoint migration projects. In this internship, you will rotate through migration execution support duties to fully understand the scope of work from start to finish.

Primary Responsibilities

• Support project manager in DAFA migration efforts across multiple task orders.
• Assist with travel support and invoicing review across multiple task orders.
• Assist with network Point Of Contact (POC) coordination.
• Provide Bill Of Materials (BOM) support across migration efforts.
• Assist the Subject Matter Expert (SME) teams with Contract Deliverables (CDRLs) preparation and uploads.
• Organize and support the Migration Queue and triage issues for the SME teams.
• Assist with the coordination and communication for migration testing activities.
• Rotate through migration support duties to fully understand the phases of discovery, planning and design and migration execution.

Basic Qualifications

• Currently pursuing an Associate's, Bachelor’s, or Master’s degree (Business Management, Project Management, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred).
• A strong interest in project management, information technology, or computer science, with familiarity using Microsoft tools such as SharePoint, Excel, Teams, or the Power Platform (academic or personal experience is acceptable).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a virtual team environment and manage multiple technical tasks simultaneously.
• Must be a U.S. citizen. A security clearance is required to start. Leidos will sponsor if necessary.

Location: This internship is 100% remote. Candidates must be based in the United States and have a reliable internet connection to support remote work and video conferencing capabilities.

Pay Range

Pay Range $41,600.00 - $75,200.00
