How we know

It hasn't been reposted, listed twice, or left up unusually long, and the posting doesn't say it's a talent pool.

Ghostless records the day it first sees a posting, so a repost can't reset its age.

Last checked Nov 4, 2026.

What the posting discloses

Not stated: Pay, real vacancy, AI screening.

Why these three

Ontario requires postings from employers with 25 or more staff to state the pay, whether the vacancy exists, and whether AI screens applicants.

Some employers add pay only on their own site. Check the original posting before you rule it out.

About the role

Aspire Software is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our team in Lebanon.

Here is a little window into our company: Aspire Software operates and manages wholly owned software companies, providing mission-critical solutions across multiple verticals. By implementing industry best practices, Aspire delivers a time sensitive integration process, and the operation of a decentralized model has allowed it to become a hub for creating rapid growth by reinvesting in its portfolio.

About the Job

We’re hiring a Senior Backend Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain the server-side systems that power our products—and to lead a small team of developers. You’ll own APIs, services, and data layers while mentoring intermediate engineers, guiding technical decisions, and pushing the product forward in a fast-paced environment. This role is about delivering: shipping product features on tight schedules without sacrificing quality. We embrace modern AI-assisted development tools, and you’ll be encouraged to use them to move quickly.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain backend services, APIs, and databases
  • Deliver product features on tight schedules and drive the product roadmap forward
  • Lead and mentor a small team of intermediate developers, providing guidance and code reviews
  • Set technical direction and uphold code quality, architecture, and best practices
  • Write clean, testable, well-documented code
  • Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and reliability
  • Collaborate with frontend engineers, product, and design to deliver features

Requirements

  • Strong programming skills in one or more backend languages (e.g. Python, Go, Java, Node.js)
  • Experience designing and building RESTful or GraphQL APIs
  • Solid understanding of databases (SQL and/or NoSQL) and data modeling
  • Proven ability to deliver quality work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced setting
  • Prior experience mentoring or leading developers
  • Familiarity with version control, testing, and CI/CD practices
  • Comfortable using AI-assisted development tools (e.g. GitHub Copilot, Claude) to boost productivity

Nice to Have

  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
  • Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
