How we know

It hasn't been reposted, listed twice, or left up unusually long, and the posting doesn't say it's a talent pool.

Ghostless records the day it first sees a posting, so a repost can't reset its age. This one was already up when Ghostless started tracking Adree, so its true age is longer.

Last checked Nov 1, 2026.

What it asks of you

Bachelor's degree asked for
“Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).” (quoted from the posting)
Equivalent experience accepted instead of a degree
“Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).” (quoted from the posting)

What the posting discloses

Not stated: Pay, real vacancy, AI screening.

Why these three

Ontario requires postings from employers with 25 or more staff to state the pay, whether the vacancy exists, and whether AI screens applicants.

Some employers add pay only on their own site. Check the original posting before you rule it out.

About the role

Adree, a subsidiary of Master Works, bridges business and technology through innovative digital solutions. Its expertise spans Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Low-Code/No-Code development, application performance, and lifecycle management.

Adree is looking for a Software Technical, Senior Engineer with a strong software development background to provide technical leadership, drive engineering best practices, and support the delivery of scalable, reliable, and high-quality software solutions. The role combines hands-on software development with technical leadership, mentoring, architecture, and collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical execution of software development initiatives and ensure alignment with business and technical requirements.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable and effective technical solutions.
  • Design and contribute to system architecture, including microservices, distributed systems, and APIs.
  • Make technical decisions related to application design, development, performance, and scalability.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality, production-ready software while remaining hands-on with coding.
  • Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to engineering standards, coding best practices, and quality guidelines.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and other stakeholders to define technical solutions and delivery approaches.
  • Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and support their technical and professional growth.
  • Provide technical guidance to the engineering team and support effective problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Support technical roadmap planning, estimation, prioritization, and delivery planning.
  • Drive the adoption and effective use of CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms.
  • Identify and address system performance, scalability, reliability, and security concerns.
  • Participate in incident management, troubleshooting, and on-call rotations when required.
  • Promote Agile/Scrum practices and contribute to continuous improvement within the engineering team.
  • Support conflict resolution and facilitate effective technical discussions within the team.
  • Balance hands-on development responsibilities with team leadership and technical coordination.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Minimum 7 years of professional software development experience.
  • At least 2–3 years in a technical leadership, senior engineer, or team lead capacity.
  • Proven track record of delivering production systems at scale.
  • Experience mentoring or managing a team of engineers (typically 3–8 people).
  • Strong proficiency in at least one primary language (e.g., Java, Python, Go, JavaScript/TypeScript, C#).
  • Deep understanding of system design and architecture (microservices, distributed systems, APIs).
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Solid grasp of databases (SQL and NoSQL), caching, and data modeling.
  • CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), and orchestration (Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation) is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of security best practices and performance optimization.
  • Experience with version control workflows (Git) and code review processes.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Experience conducting code reviews and enforcing engineering best practices.
  • Strong communication skills — able to work with product managers, designers, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to mentor junior/mid-level engineers and support their growth.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Conflict resolution and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to balance hands-on coding with team leadership responsibilities.
  • Experience with technical roadmap planning and estimation.
  • History of driving architectural decisions and technical strategy.
