How we know

It hasn't been reposted, listed twice, or left up unusually long, and the posting doesn't say it's a talent pool.

Ghostless records the day it first sees a posting, so a repost can't reset its age.

In this role, you will work together with engineering and operations teams to develop and implement closed-course vehicle testing programs. Your responsibilities will include creating and executing end-to-end software test plans for autonomous driving, supporting development on either the planning or MCU teams, and generating tooling and documentation to improve operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Create V&V plans and develop test matrix based on product requirements to thoroughly test autonomy software on-vehicle.
  • Identify, diagnose, and troubleshoot software errors, including working with Linux, ROS, sensors, actuators, and various log data.
  • Work with engineers to determine how to test different parts of the autonomy stack and report back test failures to management.
  • Organize and execute field testing to test autonomy software on-vehicle in various environments including closed course.
  • Execute the test cases based on release milestones.
  • Dive deep and support triaging issues of various components of the AV stack
  • Generate documentation and back-end tooling to improve operational efficiency

Required Skills

  • Skills in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Robotics or AV
  • Experience creating and executing test plans for software and hardware systems.
  • Experience debugging system behaviors in Linux, ROS, C++, and Python, and identifying software failures caused by hardware sensors.
  • Programming skills in Python, C++, bash
  • Willingness to travel to test sites near San Antonio, Texas and around the country.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience working in testing Autonomy or ADAS applications.
  • Previous experience testing large vehicles in defense, mining, construction, or agriculture.
