How we know

It hasn't been reposted, listed twice, or left up unusually long, and the posting doesn't say it's a talent pool.

Ghostless records the day it first sees a posting, so a repost can't reset its age. This one was already up when Ghostless started tracking Cartken.jobs.personio.com, so its true age is longer.

Last checked Nov 5, 2026.

What the posting discloses

Not stated: Pay, real vacancy, AI screening.

Why these three

Ontario requires postings from employers with 25 or more staff to state the pay, whether the vacancy exists, and whether AI screens applicants.

Some employers add pay only on their own site. Check the original posting before you rule it out.

About the role

Who we are

Cartken is a startup at the forefront of autonomous robotics and short-distance material transport. Our team has more than a century of combined experience solving some of the toughest challenges in autonomous vehicles, robotics, and operations at Google, Amazon, Apple, and Facebook. We have robots operating around the world providing reliable and cost-effective short-distance material transport for our industrial customers. Â

The AI powering our robots makes them the safest and most reliable in the market today. Our robots are equipped with multiple sensors and cameras which allow them to stop on a dime in order to avoid collisions and choose routes which have the fewest hazards.

You can read more about Cartken here .

Our mission

We streamline short-distance material transport through cost-efficient and flexible autonomous robotics.

Why join us

  • We’re passionate about applying state-of-the-art technology to solve real-world problems and become the brains behind an automation revolution
  • We’re fast and thrive on making an impact
  • You get to work with a diverse team of super talented people across USA and Germany
  • You’ll also get to build a growing startup and by default do and learn a tonne

What you'll do

In this role, you will be the bridge between our high-level software and the physical robot. You will work on a diverse range of tasks that span the entire lifecycle of embedded systems—from initial design and prototyping to troubleshooting hardware in the field.

More specifically, you’ll

  • Bring Hardware to Life: Participate in the bring-up, testing, and validation of new equipment and sensor modules.
  • Hands-on Prototyping: Design custom cables and physically produce samples/harnesses to iterate on hardware designs.
  • PCB Design: Contribute to the schematic capture and layout of printed circuit boards that power our next-gen robots.
  • Troubleshooting: Perform root-cause analysis and "first-aid" on robots to identify and fix electronic or mechanical failures.
  • Firmware Development: Assist in designing and implementing firmware that allows our robots to interact reliably with their environment.

What you bring

  • You are currently studying Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Embedded Systems, or a related field.
  • You aren't afraid to pick up a soldering iron or a multimeter; you enjoy the "physical" side of engineering.
  • Familiarity with PCB design tools (e.g., KiCad, Altium)Â
  • Optionally you have experience in programming in C++
  • You enjoy the "detective work" involved in troubleshooting complex robotic systems.
  • Availability of 20 hours per week
