How we know

It hasn't been reposted, listed twice, or left up unusually long, and the posting doesn't say it's a talent pool.

Ghostless records the day it first sees a posting, so a repost can't reset its age. This one was already up when Ghostless started tracking Forward, so its true age is longer.

Last checked Nov 4, 2026.

What it asks of you

5+ years of experience
“5+ years of experience operating large and complex networks” (quoted from the posting)

What the posting discloses

Not stated: Pay, real vacancy, AI screening.

Why these three

Ontario requires postings from employers with 25 or more staff to state the pay, whether the vacancy exists, and whether AI screens applicants.

Some employers add pay only on their own site. Check the original posting before you rule it out.

About the role

Forward was founded in 2013 by four Stanford Ph.D.s, building the industry's first network digital twin: a mathematically accurate model of the production network. It's the foundation for autonomous networking, giving engineers and AI agents the ability to know the impact of every change before it touches production. That founding instinct still defines how we work. We're accurate and evidence-driven, relentless about clarity, and we'd rather be certain than comfortable, building a groundbreaking platform that transforms how teams run and secure networks across every major cloud and vendor environment.

Global leaders like Goldman Sachs, PayPal, S&P Global, IBM, and Dell trust Forward, alongside fast-growing enterprises and government agencies, realizing an average of $14.2 million in annual benefits, according to IDC. Backed by top-tier investors, including A. Capital, Andreessen Horowitz, Goldman Sachs, MSD Partners, Omega Venture Partners, Section 32, and Threshold Ventures, and headquartered in Santa Clara, we're most proud of our team: curious people who'd rather build what doesn't exist than accept how things have always been done.

Forward Networks is currently seeking talented Network Engineers to work as part of our Network team.

Responsibilities

  • To do extensive testing of all the features available in routing protocols like BGP, MPLS, MP-BGP, RIP, EIGRP, OSPF, IS-IS, SR, etc., on multiple vendor platforms like Juniper, Cisco, Arista, PaloAlto, Fortinet, etc.
  • Teach the basics of networking technologies and terminology to software developers working on creating models for those networking technologies.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience operating large and complex networks
  • Having strong knowledge of Service Provider, Enterprise Networking and Data Centre Technologies
  • Deep understanding of the functionality of switches, routers, firewalls and load balancers
  • One or more of the following certificates: CCIE, JNCIE or VCDX
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Nice to haves

  • Scripting or programming experience (Python, perl, etc)
  • Familiarity with Ansible or other DevOps tools, git, etc.

This position is a regular, full-time opportunity with Forward Networks in Bangalore, India.
