How we know

It hasn't been reposted, listed twice, or left up unusually long, and the posting doesn't say it's a talent pool.

Ghostless records the day it first sees a posting, so a repost can't reset its age. This one was already up when Ghostless started tracking Raspberrypi, so its true age is longer.

Last checked Nov 1, 2026.

What the posting discloses

Not stated: Pay, real vacancy, AI screening.

Why these three

Ontario requires postings from employers with 25 or more staff to state the pay, whether the vacancy exists, and whether AI screens applicants.

Some employers add pay only on their own site. Check the original posting before you rule it out.

About the role

At Raspberry Pi, we are proud to foster an environment where those who work with us can do what they love and do it well. By joining Raspberry Pi, you’ll be adding to a lean and passionate team dedicated to democratising technology and providing affordable access to computing tools to people across the globe.

This is a new role and a real opportunity to make your mark on Raspberry Pi’s infrastructure. As our Infrastructure and Network Engineer, you will be responsible for the network, servers, storage, and backup behind everything our engineers do, shaping how it is designed, automated, and secured. You will join our IT and Security team in Engineering Operations, reporting to the Engineering Operations Lead.

We are looking for someone with a can-do attitude who is self-starting and proactive, thinks independently, challenges the norm, and has an appetite to learn and adapt in a fast-paced technical environment.

This is a full-time role based in our Cambridge office. Applicants must be eligible to work in the UK.

Founded as a charity in 2008 and selling its first computer in 2012, Raspberry Pi today comprises two separate organisations operating in two locations

  • At Raspberry Pi Ltd, we build best-selling computers, microcontrollers, and supporting software for industrial and embedded customers as well as home users worldwide
  • The Raspberry Pi Foundation is a charity dedicated to enabling all young people to realise their potential through computing

Requirements

Key responsibilities

We are looking for someone to perform the following tasks

  • Run and develop our network, including segmentation, Wi-Fi, firewalls, and VPNs
  • Look after our Linux servers, storage, and backups, with regular restore testing
  • Design and implement new network infrastructure and expansions as we grow
  • Own Google single sign-on, multi-factor authentication, and access reviews
  • Manage internal domains, DNS, and certificates
  • Write Python and Bash tooling and manage infrastructure as code to automate routine tasks
  • Handle day-to-day security operations and support the CISO with incident response and recovery

Requirements and skills

Raspberry Pi values pragmatic, independent thinkers who are comfortable engaging with external customers and partners, as well as internal stakeholders at all levels of seniority. We operate in a highly collaborative work environment, and the successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Candidates should also have the following

  • Several years’ experience in infrastructure or network engineering
  • A strong Linux system administration background, ideally on Debian- and Red Hat-based systems
  • Knowledge of ZFS and NFS
  • Knowledge of Netgear and Cisco (or similar) networking equipment, and of common network and security topologies: switching, VLANs, routing, segmentation, firewalls, VPN, and Wi-Fi
  • Experience programming in Python and Bash and managing infrastructure as code (Ansible or Terraform)
  • Experience with Google Workspace single sign-on (SAML or OIDC), SCIM provisioning, and multi-factor authentication, including security keys
  • Experience running backup and recovery, including regular restore testing
  • A preference for open-source tools, with a sound understanding of security fundamentals
  • Good documentation habits

Experience in the following would also be beneficial

  • Designing and building networks from scratch
  • Using open-source monitoring tools, such as Prometheus and Grafana
  • Contributing to open-source projects

Benefits

We offer employees the following benefits
