How we know

It hasn't been reposted, listed twice, or left up unusually long, and the posting doesn't say it's a talent pool.

Ghostless records the day it first sees a posting, so a repost can't reset its age.

Last checked Nov 4, 2026.

What it asks of you

3+ years of experience
“You have 3+ years of experience building reports and dashboards in a modern BI tool (Sigma strongly preferred; Looker, Tableau, Power BI, or similar also considered).” (quoted from the posting)

What the posting discloses

Not stated: Pay, real vacancy, AI screening.

Why these three

Ontario requires postings from employers with 25 or more staff to state the pay, whether the vacancy exists, and whether AI screens applicants.

Some employers add pay only on their own site. Check the original posting before you rule it out.

About the role

Engineering has built modeled data marts in Snowflake that support Finance, Leave Success, and other teams. Your job is to turn those data marts into trusted, reusable Sigma data models and reports, so that teams outside of engineering can build and explore their own reporting without filing a ticket or writing SQL.

Responsibilities will include

  • Designing, building, and maintaining reports and dashboards in Sigma for Finance, Leave Success, Product, RevOps, CS, and leadership.
  • Building and owning a governed metadata (semantic) layer in Sigma using data models: defining relationships, reusable metrics, calculated columns, and clear business-friendly names and descriptions on top of our Snowflake data marts.
  • Establishing standards for certified data sources, naming conventions, metric definitions, and documentation so everyone is working from one version of the truth.
  • Implementing and maintaining row-level and column-level security in Sigma (for example, user attributes and teams) so people only see the data they should.
  • Enabling self-service reporting: training and supporting non-technical users, creating templates and starter workbooks, and maintaining a simple guide for "where to find what."
  • Gathering reporting requirements from stakeholders, translating vague questions into clear metric definitions, and pushing back with trade-offs when needed.
  • Writing and optimizing SQL against Snowflake to validate data, prototype new reports, and diagnose discrepancies.
  • Partnering with data engineers on upstream data mart changes, data quality issues, and new data needs, and contributing to dbt models where it makes sense.
  • Monitoring report performance and usage (for example, materialization and cleanup of unused workbooks) to keep the Sigma environment fast and tidy.

Requirements

  • You have 3+ years of experience building reports and dashboards in a modern BI tool (Sigma strongly preferred; Looker, Tableau, Power BI, or similar also considered).
  • You have built or maintained a semantic layer (Sigma data models, LookML, Power BI datasets, dbt semantic layer, or similar) that non-technical users rely on.
  • You write strong SQL, including joins, CTEs, window functions, and aggregations, and you know how to avoid double counting.
  • You understand dimensional modeling concepts such as grain, facts and dimensions, and slowly changing dimensions.
  • You can sit with a Finance or Operations partner, understand what they are really asking, and design a report that answers it.
  • You care about trust in the numbers: you document definitions, validate against source systems, and communicate clearly when something is off.
  • You enjoy teaching others and can explain data concepts to people who do not work with data every day.
  • You have high levels of empathy and can connect deeply with our mission.
  • You are comfortable working in ambiguous environments and know that we need your help to figure things out.
  • You have experience working with a startup and/or with a B2B SaaS business.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Snowflake and dbt.
  • Experience with financial reporting (revenue, billing, ARR) or operational SLA reporting.
  • Familiarity with HR, benefits, insurance, or leave management data.
  • Experience preparing data for AI-assisted analytics (for example, writing descriptions and metric definitions that tools like Sigma Assistant can use).

Benefits

  • Holidays: 5 National Holidays a year
