How we know
It hasn't been reposted, listed twice, or left up unusually long, and the posting doesn't say it's a talent pool.
Ghostless records the day it first sees a posting, so a repost can't reset its age. This one was already up when Ghostless started tracking General Magic, so its true age is longer.

Not stated: Pay, real vacancy, AI screening.
Why these three
Ontario requires postings from employers with 25 or more staff to state the pay, whether the vacancy exists, and whether AI screens applicants.
Some employers add pay only on their own site. Check the original posting before you rule it out.

About the role
Who we are
For decades, insurance software has been built around rigid forms, portals and call centers that create friction for customers and drag for teams. Even as AI has advanced, most insurance work is still manual, slow and spread across disconnected systems.
General Magic builds AI agents that handle quoting, follow-ups, document collection, verification, claims intake and broker communication, connected directly to carrier, MGA and broker systems. Some of Canada's largest brokerages use our products today. We've raised $7.2M USD from Radical Ventures, a16z and several AI luminaries. We work onsite in Toronto five days a week.
The role
As a Forward Deployed Broker, you're the insurance expert on our customer team. You'll work side by side with brokerages as they roll out General Magic, making sure our agents fit how brokers actually work, and you'll bring what you learn back to our product and engineering teams.
In this role, you will
- Lead onboarding and rollout of our products at brokerage customers
- Train brokers and account managers, and help them build new habits around AI
- Map real brokerage workflows like quoting, renewals, endorsements and claims, and spot where AI helps most
- Review agent outputs for accuracy against carrier rules, wordings and appetite
- Turn broker feedback into clear product requirements with our engineers
For this role, you should have
- Hands-on experience working in a brokerage, personal or commercial lines
- An active or recent broker licence (for example RIBO in Ontario)
- Working knowledge of carriers, broker management systems and day-to-day brokerage operations
- Clear, confident communication with brokers, principals and technical teams
- Curiosity about AI and comfort working in a fast-moving startup
Nice to have
- Experience with Applied Epic or other broker management systems
- Experience in a training, implementation or operations role
