How we know

It hasn't been reposted, listed twice, or left up unusually long, and the posting doesn't say it's a talent pool.

Ghostless records the day it first sees a posting, so a repost can't reset its age. This one was already up when Ghostless started tracking Bridge Neurotech, so its true age is longer.

Last checked Nov 3, 2026.

What it asks of you

Must be a current student
“Enrolled in a bachelor’s program in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related discipline, in your junior year or later, or in a master’s progra” (quoted from the posting)

What the posting discloses

Not stated: Pay, real vacancy, AI screening.

Why these three

Ontario requires postings from employers with 25 or more staff to state the pay, whether the vacancy exists, and whether AI screens applicants.

Some employers add pay only on their own site. Check the original posting before you rule it out.

About the role

About Bridge Neurotech

Bridge Neurotech is building a non-invasive functional ultrasound imaging (fUSI) platform with AI-based neural decoding for brain-computer interface applications. We are a seed-stage neurotechnology company developing technology that has the potential to transform how we interact with the human brain.

About the role

We are looking for a Hardware Engineering Intern to join Bridge for a six-month internship or co-op and help turn ideas into physical parts. Almost nothing we build can be bought, so we make our own as one-off or low-volume production, and you will work across all of it: design it, build it, test it, improve it.

This is a hands-on lab role with breadth: CAD in the morning, soldering in the afternoon, and Python scripting in between. We expect you to use AI coding tools to build automations and bespoke tools.

What you’ll do

  • Design and iterate parts in CAD, for example probe housings, mounts, fixtures, enclosures, and lab hardware.
  • Run our 3D printers: dial in materials and profiles, manage the queue, and keep turnaround measured in hours.
  • Help build the automation around 3D printing and CNC, for example scripted slicing and job submission, print monitoring, and part tracking.
  • Help develop processes for low-volume part production, for example molding, casting, potting, bonding, and the jigs and fixtures those processes need.
  • Do the work that makes hardware real: soldering, cable and harness assembly, and careful assembly of delicate parts.
  • Build test fixtures and benchtop setups, and help keep the lab organized and working.
  • Write Python to glue the shop together: automation, instrument control, data logging, and inventory tracking.
  • Work directly with our imaging scientists and research team to understand how each part will actually be used.

Who you are

Required

  • Enrolled in a bachelor’s program in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related discipline, in your junior year or later, or in a master’s program.
  • Available full time for six months.
  • Working proficiency in CAD: parametric modeling, assemblies, and drawings.
  • Hands-on 3D printing experience, for example tuning, troubleshooting, and repair.
  • Comfortable soldering both boards and wire, and assembling precision hardware without breaking it.
  • Some experience with Python: you can write a real script, for example file handling, an API call, or a serial interface.
  • Comfortable using AI coding tools to get to working tooling.
  • A bias toward building, testing, and improving over designing to completion first.

Nice to have

  • PCB layout experience, particularly in Altium.
  • CNC machining experience, for example CAM programming, fixturing, and workholding.
  • Personal projects, a shop of your own, robotics or FSAE, or other evidence that you build things unprompted.

What we offer

  • Six months of hands-on ownership of the hardware this company runs on.
  • Mentorship from our engineers, and direct collaboration with our imaging scientists and research team.
  • Work on a modality early enough that the tooling does not exist yet. Much of what you build will be the first of its kind.

Bridge Neurotech is an equal opportunity employer. We encourage candidates of all backgrounds to apply.
