How we know
It hasn't been reposted, listed twice, or left up unusually long, and the posting doesn't say it's a talent pool.
Ghostless records the day it first sees a posting, so a repost can't reset its age.

Not stated: Pay, real vacancy, AI screening.
Why these three
Ontario requires postings from employers with 25 or more staff to state the pay, whether the vacancy exists, and whether AI screens applicants.
Some employers add pay only on their own site. Check the original posting before you rule it out.

About the role
AlphaGov is seeking a Construction Research Scientist to support research and consulting opportunities involving construction schedules, workforce capacity, labor costs, and project delivery risk.
We are looking for someone who can evaluate how delays, competing projects, and limited skilled labor affect a project’s cost and completion date—and translate those findings into practical recommendations.
Scope of Work
- Analyze how project delays change workforce requirements, crew availability, and labor costs.
- Model resource constraints across multiple projects, including situations where crews remain on one project longer than planned.
- Develop and test scheduling, simulation, and forecasting methods using historical project data.
- Evaluate alternatives such as resequencing work, reallocating crews, overtime, and subcontracting.
- Define data requirements, validation methods, and measurable research objectives.
- Contribute technical methods, work plans, and findings to proposals and client deliverables.
Requirements
- PhD preferred in construction engineering, civil engineering, construction management, operations research, industrial engineering, or a related field. Comparable applied research experience will be considered.
- Experience with construction scheduling, resource allocation, project controls, or construction productivity research.
- Demonstrated experience with quantitative modeling, simulation, optimization, or statistical analysis.
- Familiarity with Primavera P6, critical path scheduling, resource-loaded schedules, or comparable methods.
- Ability to explain technical findings clearly to project leaders and nontechnical decision-makers.
Experience with electrical and mechanical construction, data centers, utilities, energy, or major infrastructure projects is especially relevant.
Benefits
Assignments are scoped individually, with compensation and time commitments agreed upon before work begins. Opportunities may include proposal development and delivery of awarded projects. Project delivery assignments depend on contract or funding awards and confirmed availability.
Applicants may opt into consideration for future AlphaGov proposals and consulting engagements. Applying does not guarantee an assignment. Any opportunity with a separate affiliated company would be discussed and confirmed separately.
To apply: Submit your résumé or CV highlighting relevant projects, research methods, publications, and your specific contribution.
