How we know

It hasn't been reposted, listed twice, or left up unusually long, and the posting doesn't say it's a talent pool.

Ghostless records the day it first sees a posting, so a repost can't reset its age. This one was already up when Ghostless started tracking Raydar, so its true age is longer.

The role

Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. This position centers on building and releasing software that uses AI, carrying early prototypes through to live, supported systems. It suits an early-career engineer with solid programming fundamentals who enjoys applying technology to business questions.

What you'll do

  • Develop LLM-based software tools that help business teams review and assess opportunities more quickly.
  • Collaborate with operations staff and the leadership of affiliated businesses to ship AI-driven improvements.
  • Carry work from an early prototype through to a live, supported product, including coding, testing and release.
  • Build and maintain search capabilities over internal documents and datasets, mixing rule-based and AI-driven retrieval.
  • Create data pipelines that feed internal tools, drawing on internal and external sources.
  • Build and maintain evaluation tooling to keep AI systems accurate, reliable and cost-effective.
  • Keep up with new models, tools and engineering practices and apply the useful ones pragmatically.

Requirements

What we're looking for

  • Roughly one to four years of professional experience in software development or applied AI; more seasoned candidates are also considered.
  • Completed undergraduate studies in a technical or quantitative subject such as computing, engineering or statistics.
  • Evidence of hands-on creation, whether through released software, public code contributions, competition projects or a visible repository.
  • Experience building applications on LLM APIs, including agents, tool use, retrieval and evaluations.
  • Fluency with AI coding tools, with the judgment to review and take ownership of their output.
  • Strong Python and SQL skills.
  • Practical familiarity with service interfaces, data-wrangling packages and workflow scripting.
  • Strong communicator who can work with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
  • Curious, detail-oriented and self-directed, with sound judgment and humility.

Bonus points

  • Experience with TypeScript and React.
  • Experience with cloud platforms, data platforms and infrastructure-as-code tools.
  • Experience at leading consulting firms or technology companies.
