How we know
It hasn't been reposted, listed twice, or left up unusually long, and the posting doesn't say it's a talent pool.
Ghostless records the day it first sees a posting, so a repost can't reset its age.
Last checked Nov 4, 2026.

Not stated: Pay, real vacancy, AI screening.
Why these three
Ontario requires postings from employers with 25 or more staff to state the pay, whether the vacancy exists, and whether AI screens applicants.
Some employers add pay only on their own site. Check the original posting before you rule it out.

About Intropic
Intropic builds data and analytics for event-driven investing. Our products help hedge funds, banks and asset managers understand and trade around index rebalances, M&A, equity capital markets activity and shareholder flows. Our engineering team sits at the heart of the business: the models and pipelines we run every day feed directly into the data our clients rely on. About the Role
Responsibilities
We're looking for a mid-level Backend Data/Software Engineer to join our engineering team and support cross-team operations. You'll work across teams to improve the speed and reliability of our production models, and build out the infrastructure and tooling our internal teams rely on day to day. This role suits an ambitious engineer who wants more autonomy than a typical mid-level position offers. You'll be working close to the core of how the business runs, with a clear path toward greater ownership, including the chance to help design and build new products for clients as you develop. What You'll Do
Requirements
Must-have
- 2+ years of professional software development experience
- Solid professional Python experience
- Comfortable working with microservice architectures
- Experience building and consuming REST APIs
- Experience working with databases (SQL and/or other data stores)
Nice-to-have
- Computer Science degree (maths or other science degrees also considered favourably)
- Experience with Rust
- Cloud experience, especially AWS
- Front-end skills (not required, but a bonus)
What You'll Get
- Hybrid working, based out of our Canary Wharf office
- The opportunity to work across multiple teams and gain broad exposure to the business
- A clear path toward greater autonomy and ownership as you grow in the role
- The chance to contribute to new products built for clients
