Testing & Verification

• Develop, maintain, and execute automated and manual software testing activities.
• Design and implement automated test frameworks to improve software quality and test coverage.
• Create software test plans, procedures, validation protocols, and verification reports.
• Conduct functional, integration, regression, performance, and system-level testing.
• Support software defect tracking, root cause analysis, and corrective action activities.
• Participate in verification and validation activities throughout the software development lifecycle.

DevOps & Continuous Integration

• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for software build, test, and release processes.
• Support configuration management and source code control using Git-based repositories.
• Maintain software development and deployment environments.
• Support containerized software deployments using Docker and related technologies.
• Develop automation tools and scripts to improve engineering efficiency.
• Support software release management and deployment activities.

Quality & Process Improvement

• Support adoption of AI-assisted coding, testing, code review, and quality processes within the software team.
• Evaluate emerging development, DevOps, and testing technologies.
• Promote automation-driven and risk-based quality practices across engineering projects.
• Champion software quality standards, testing discipline, and development best practices.
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance and Engineering teams to improve overall product quality.
• Ensure compliance with software engineering, quality management, cybersecurity, and customer requirements.

Documentation & Reporting

• Generate and maintain software documentation, user guides, technical reports, and release notes.
• Generate software test plans, test procedures, and test reports.
• Prepare technical documentation and presentations using Microsoft Office tools.
• Maintain software configuration records and traceability documentation.
• Contribute to project status reporting and engineering reviews.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in:
• Software Engineering
• Computer Engineering
• Computer Science
• Systems Engineering
• Electrical Engineering
• Related technical discipline

Experience

• 3 to 7+ years of experience in software development, software testing, DevOps, or related technical roles.
• Experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices.
• Experience developing automated test frameworks.
• Experience supporting Linux-based software systems.
• Experience with desktop, embedded, industrial automation, robotics, autonomous systems, or defense-related software development preferred.
• Experience with cross-platform software development preferred.
• Experience with networked applications and communications protocols preferred.
• Experience with GUI development using Qt preferred.

Preferred Experience

• Autonomous systems and robotics.
• Defense or aerospace projects.
• Sensor systems and data acquisition.
• Embedded software development.
• Simulation and test automation environments.
• Cybersecurity and secure software development practices.
• AI-assisted software development tools and workflows.

Technical Skills

Programming Languages

• Strong C++ programming experience.
• Competent in other programming languages, particularly C# and Python.
• Experience with object-oriented design and modern software development practices.
• Experience developing multi-threaded and real-time software applications.

Development Tools

• Microsoft Visual Studio (.NET).
• Git / Bitbucket.
• Jenkins.
• Docker.
• Bash scripting.

GUI Development

• Experience with cross-platform graphical user interface development, particularly Qt.
• Experience designing intuitive operator and engineering interfaces.
• Understanding of user experience and usability principles.

Operating Systems

• Experience with Microsoft Windows application development.
• Familiarity with Linux environments.
• Experience supporting Linux-based software systems.

Networking

• Competency with network programming and communications.
• Experience with TCP/IP and UDP protocols.
• Understanding of client-server architectures and distributed systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot network communications issues.

Testing & Quality

• Experience developing automated testing frameworks.
• Experience creating test plans, verification procedures, and test reports.
• Knowledge of software quality assurance methodologies.
• Understanding of software lifecycle management and traceability.
